Delicious! A nice simple menu and good flavorful dishes. We had the tongkotsu ramen, the sticky karaage rice bowl, and split a karaage bao bun. The dragon fruit lemonade and yuzu pineapple express drinks were also very sweet and tasty!

I’m writing this while I eat my ramen. This spot is a MUST visit and it has been one the best ramen I have eaten. The noodles are perfectly made, the flavor of the Tonkotsu is so amazing and well balanced. Thank you for such an amazing food. Also, the shishito peppers and the bao are delightful.

Sosogu - Ramen & Japanese BBQ combines the artistry of Japanese cuisine with a lively atmosphere, creating a dining experience that feels both authentic and memorable. The restaurant is committed to excellence, from its high-quality, fresh ingredients to its exceptional hospitality. The interior is thoughtfully designed, while a mix of pop and instrumental music plays softly in the background, adding to the calm and relaxing ambiance. The space appears to accommodate around 50 to 60 guests indoors. The staff were very friendly. They gave us a warm welcome. We ordered Salmon Hand Roll Sushi, Dragon Fruit Lemonade, Japanese Street Corn, Sticky Karaage Chicken and Filet Mignon Medallions Gyu Set. Their service was fast, and our food was served promptly. The food and beverage were exceptional - expertly prepared and cooked to perfection. The Dragon Fruit Lemonade was refreshing and way better than the Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade at Starbucks! Salmon Hand Roll Sushi, Filet Mignon Medallions Gyu Set, Japanese Street Corn, and Sticky Karaage Chicken were richly flavored and truly delightful. We enjoyed the food as well as hospitality very much. Our overall experience was pretty amazing. A

If you don’t want all the craziness from one of those traditional Korean barbecue spots then this place is perfect for you and me. There’s a personal grill in front of you so you don’t need to worry about a group and I’m all good with that. I ordered their GYO set that came with generous cuts of meat and the perfect portion for me. Check out my pictures to see if this is something that’s satisfactory for you. So the meat was flavorful and it came with butter that’s miso flavor to add that extra pop. I also got their ramen which was decent and also a Spicy Pork Bun which was pretty good. They offer happy hour specials so that’s a big plus if you’re on a budget like me. The service is good and the atmosphere was kinda busy. What I mean by busy is you can hear two types of music playing at the same time and that was a little annoying. Overall it’s a cool little date spot and you won’t come out smelling like a cook if you know what I mean. So if you’re in the mood for a small bite or soup then check them out.

I didn’t expect much walking in on a random weekday around 11am, but this place caught me off guard in a good way. Sosogu in Redlands looks simple from the outside, but once you sit at the grill table, everything changes. The setup is very clean. The counter is spotless, sauces come in minimal black trays, utensils are clean, no crumbs anywhere. You notice it right away. We started with a hand roll, served in a small wooden holder. Crispy seaweed, warm rice, rich filling inside. Simple, but done right. Nothing overloaded, just clean balance. Then the main part, the grill. They bring out a plate with raw meats, mushrooms, and peppers. You can see different cuts and marinades, some pieces glossy, some more simple. You cook everything yourself right in front of you. No rush. You just sit, turn the pieces, and watch them change. It becomes part of the experience. On the side there are two sauces, one darker, one lighter. Both balanced, not too strong, not covering the meat. The drink was solid. That pink cocktail, light, slightly sweet, a little citrus. Easy to drink, not heavy. The space feels open. Big windows, natural light, a clean bar area with bottles on ice. Nothing hidden
